Wallflowers
In my rural part of Tuscany, dry stone walls abound, and growing from the top of them, at the bottom of them, and even through the cracks are wonderful wildflowers of every shape and colour.
Dragonfly
A semi abstract playing with beautiful transparency of the dragonflies that hover in my garden.
Cortona Silhouette
In the UK it is generally reckoned that Autumn is the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, but in Cortona the fogs generally come in November. They lift and sink hour by hour, and lower in the valley they can linger all day; even in Cortona itself you may not see the sun for several days at a time. This painting was created from one of my photographs, taken on one such misty morn.
