If it weren’t for my animals, I would this week be in northern France for a very special exhibition of watercolour paintings arranged by Janine Galizia – well known artist, editor of the Art of Watercolour Magazine, and an international watercolour judge. She arranged the showing for her two groups, the French and the English – who attended her four-week online Exhibition course. The Exhibition itself is called ‘The Dawn of Impressionism’, and takes place in Dinan, Brittany.
There are over fifty of Janines students there for the show, and more than a hundred pictures on display. I can’t be there, but at least some of my paintings are, and, courtesy of the internet, a lot of the events, conferences, lectures and live demonstrations are sent to those of us not there. I would especially like to have gone, as although he was English, my father was actually born in Dinan – and I remember going there on holiday as a teenager.

It seems the exhibition is a huge success, and they are all having a wonderful time – my only consolation is that the weather is much better here in Italy!
