Rhino on the Rampage 26 x 36 cm

£345.00

Many years ago I lived in Kenya, and was lucky enough to see the last four Northern White Rhinos along with their ranger friends wandering freely in a game park. That experience had a profound effect on me, and recently I felt the urge to paint some of the wonderful creatures I was lucky enough to encounter. Rhinos are generally quite gentle animals, but this one is on the rampage, which happens from time to time. White rhinos are not actually white - the name is believed to arise from a corruption of the german word for wide; these wide mouthed rhinos graze on the grass, as opposed to black rhinos who have a more pointed mouth, and browse on trees.
